Frequently Asked Questions

How Big is Your Harp?

I play a Lyon & Healy Model 23 concert grand harp. It stands about 6 feet tall and weighs 81
pounds.

Because of its size, it usually requires two people to transport. The cost of moving my harp is included in my performance fee.

How Do You Move Your Harp?

Transporting a concert grand harp is a detailed process that I’ve refined over time. I begin by placing the instrument in a three-piece padded case that protects the base, column, and body.

Once secured, I carefully load it onto my harp dolly designed specifically for safe transport.

I plan ahead to ensure my vehicle is parked in a convenient, accessible spot with minimal obstacles. After lowering the seats, I gently position the harp inside the vehicle—always on its side, with the neck facing the passenger side—and cushion it with pillows and padding to
prevent any shock absorption during transit.

Upon arrival at the venue, I locate the safest and most direct access point, often using ramps or service entrances. In high-traffic areas or more complex venues, I may bring an assistant to help
with parking and maneuvering the harp quickly and safely.

I also require a phone consultation prior to booking so we can go over all
logistics and ensure a smooth experience from start to finish.

What Type of Events Do You Do?

I perform at a wide range of events including solo performances of my original music, weddings, private parties, and string ensembles.

I love bringing the harp to both traditional and
unexpected spaces.

What is Your Booking Process Like?

Once you’re ready to book, we’ll start with a consultation call to go over all the details—your vision, the vibe, and logistics.

After that, I’ll send over the contract and deposit information to
lock in your date.

What Type of Music Do You Play?

I play a mix of classical, jazz, R&B, hip hop, and more. I create my own arrangements and love blending styles to make something fresh and meaningful, whether I’m playing solo harp or adding vocals.

Do You Teach?

Yes, I’m currently offering private harp lessons. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your technique, I’ll tailor the lessons to your goals.

I love working with students of all levels, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds.
